Over 30s Daytime Disco Torquay

Cosmic Voyages Friday mix at 6 11-09-26

Mix at 6 – 18.09.26 - Over 30s Daytime Disco Torquay

This Week’s Mix at 6

Over 30's Daytime Disco House - Coming to Torquay, Venue to be announced.

Strap yourself in — this week's Mix at 6 takes familiar soul, funk, disco and dance-floor favourites and gives them a serious Cosmic Voyages upgrade.

We start firmly in feel-good territory before moving through disco edits, jazz-funk grooves, soulful house and heavyweight club reworks. Along the way, instantly recognisable records from Prince, Change, Janet Jackson, Gwen McCrae, James Brown, Angie Stone and Womack & Womack are twisted, extended and rebuilt for a modern dance floor.

There are some cracking surprises too. Dr Packer gets busy with Degrees of Motion and Prince, Late Nite Tuff Guy gets his hands on Change, Dave Lee delivers a jazz-funk revival workout, while Blue Monday and Smooth Operator emerge in completely different club-ready disguises.

Then we head into full hands-in-the-air territory with Angie Stone, Loveland's “Let The Music Lift You Up”, before Womack & Womack's “Teardrops” brings this week's voyage home.

18 tracks. 80 minutes. One continuous voyage.

Soul. Disco. Funk. House. Classics reimagined.

Turn it up. Your Friday starts here. 🚀
